Big Ideas in the Big City – Promo Show Chicago Recap

In July we headed back to Chicago for the ASI Promo Show, one of the biggest events in the promotional products world. For two days, the show floor was buzzing with ideas, new products, and plenty of “oh, we could use that” moments.
With over 500 exhibitors, we wandered aisle after aisle checking out what’s new, what’s trending, and what could work for our clients. My main mission was to hunt down more USA-made options and quiz our top vendors on their tariff plans. That focus led to some great conversations and even better product finds.
Here are a few that stood out:
-
Prize Putt Game for your next event or promotion.
-
Rollink Tour Mini Bag that’s as stylish as it is functional.
-
Lulu-style crossbody bag with everyday appeal.
-
Pen Bar Experience — an interactive, customizable product that’s just plain fun.
-
Mini arcade cabinets for a dose of branded nostalgia.
-
Fidget toys in fresh shapes and materials.
-
Arkansas Act 943-compliant items that meet sourcing rules and avoid China.
-
Cool new tech gear perfect for gifting or events.
The best part about being on the floor was getting hands-on demos. We tested products, felt the materials, checked print quality up close, and compared suppliers side by side. We also spotted some smart packaging ideas that turn even simple giveaways into something special.
And because we were in Chicago, we had to sneak in some fun. We sipped butterbeer and tried butterbeer ice cream at the Harry Potter Shop, visited the massive Chicago Starbucks Reserve Roastery, and found a cozy little coffee-and-chocolate spot called L.A. Burdick that we’re still craving. Add in a stroll along the Riverwalk and a slice of deep-dish pizza, and it’s safe to say we made the most of it.
We came home with fresh ideas, valuable insights, and a renewed excitement for helping our clients stand out. If you want to see some of the products we discovered — or try one out for yourself — let’s talk. You can check out the whole album by clicking here, or the thumbnail above!
